Getting Started
How do I create an account?
Click Sign Up at the top right. Enter your name, email, and a password. Your account is ready immediately.
Is ReSwaps free to use?
Creating an account and browsing is free. A 7% Platform & Inspection Fee is charged per party only when a swap is successfully completed. This covers physical platform access, item inspection & condition verification, and secure repackaging at our warehouse. Shipping fees are calculated dynamically per swap via our courier partner and deducted upfront when a swap is accepted.
What items can I swap?
Almost anything in good condition — electronics, fashion, sports equipment, collectibles, books, home appliances and more. Max item weight 5kg. Min declared value RM50. Prohibited: weapons, illegal goods, counterfeit items, live animals.
What does "Warehouse Protected" mean?
All listings on ReSwaps are Warehouse Protected by default. Both parties ship to our warehouse first — we verify condition before dispatching to the other party. This protects everyone from misrepresentation.
Listings & Offers
How many photos do I need?
A minimum of 4 photos is required. You can upload up to 10. Clear, well-lit photos from multiple angles increase your chances of receiving offers.
How is the swap value range calculated?
Your item must be valued within ±20% of the target listing's declared value. E.g. if an item is listed at RM200, your item must be between RM160–RM240.
Can I edit my listing after posting?
Yes — go to My Listings, view the listing, then click Edit. Declared value can only be edited within 24 hours of listing and within ±20% of original.
How do I remove my listing?
Go to My Listings, view the listing, and click Remove. Listings in an active swap cannot be removed.
Swap Process
What happens after both parties accept?
Both parties ship their items to the ReSwaps warehouse. Once both items are received and verified, we dispatch them to the respective parties.
What couriers can I use?
J&T Express, Pos Laju, or GDex. Enter your tracking number on the swap page after dropping off at any outlet.
How long does a swap take?
Typically 5–10 days — 2–3 days inbound, 1–2 days warehouse verification, 2–3 days outbound. Varies by courier speed and location.
Can I cancel after accepting?
Cancellation requires mutual agreement. Once both parties have shipped to the warehouse, cancellation is no longer available — raise a dispute instead.
Credits & Payment
How do I top up credits?
Go to Credits from the top navigation. Select an amount and proceed to payment. Credits are added instantly after confirmation.
When are fees deducted?
Shipping fees are deducted upfront when a swap is accepted. The 7% Platform & Inspection Fee is deducted on completion once both parties confirm receipt. Parcel insurance (5%, if applicable) is also deducted on completion.
Are credits refundable?
Credits are non-refundable once purchased. If a swap is cancelled, any held fees are returned to your balance.
Disputes
How do I raise a dispute?
Go to the swap detail page and click Raise Dispute within the dispute window (72 hours after dispatch). Describe the issue and upload evidence.
How long does resolution take?
Our team reviews evidence and issues a decision within 5–10 business days.
What if I have an issue not covered by a dispute?
Submit a support ticket above with category "Dispute Follow-up" and include your swap ID.
Account & Safety
How do I change my password?
Go to your profile settings. Password reset is available from the login page if you have forgotten it.
Can I have multiple accounts?
No. One person, one account. Multiple accounts violate our Terms of Service and may result in permanent banning.
How do I report a suspicious user or listing?
Submit a support ticket with category "General Enquiry" and include the username or listing ID.
What happens if my account is banned?
Banned accounts lose access immediately. Credit balance is forfeited for Terms of Service violations. Submit a ticket to appeal within 14 days.
