The Swap Process

List Your Item: Free
Take at least 4 clear photos from different angles, set a declared value, and describe its condition honestly. Listing is completely free. Once live, anyone can browse and chat with you about a swap.

Browse & Chat
Find something you want. Open a chat with the seller, ask questions, share your listing, and agree on whether it's a good swap for both sides. No pressure: just conversation.

Propose a Swap
Offer your listing in exchange for theirs. Items should be within a similar value range. The seller reviews your offer and accepts or declines.

Ship to Our Warehouse
Once the swap is accepted, we provide a shipping label. Just drop your item off at the nearest J&T or Poslaju counter: we handle everything from there. No need to deal with couriers yourself.

We Inspect & Verify
Both items arrive at the ReSwaps warehouse. Our team checks each item against its listing: condition, photos, description. Everything verified before anything ships out. If something doesn't match, we flag it before it reaches the other party.

We Deliver to Both Parties
Once both items pass inspection, we pack them securely and dispatch to each party. You get a tracking number so you can follow your delivery.

Receive & Confirm
Your item arrives at your door. Confirm receipt on the platform. If anything is wrong, you have 72 hours to raise a dispute: our team reviews and resolves it.

Swap Complete
Both confirmations are in, the swap is marked complete. Your swap count goes up, climbing you through the badge tiers.

Why Not Just Swap Informally?
Traditional swapping is a scam waiting to happen.
Every day in Malaysian social media groups and chat apps, people swap items with strangers — and lose. Wrong item sent. Item never arrives. Photos fake. No recourse. ReSwaps was built to fix exactly this.
The shipping fee isn't an extra cost. You would have paid courier fees anyway. The difference is you now get warehouse verification, dispute protection, and guaranteed delivery both ways.

Is there any cost to list an item?
Listing is 100% free. You only pay when a swap is successfully completed.
Are there any fees?
Yes, two fees apply per swap. First, an Platform & Inspection Fee of 7% of your item's declared value — this covers our team physically receiving your item, checking its condition against your listing, securely repacking it in ReSwaps packaging, and dispatching it. Second, shipping fees (inbound and outbound) calculated based on your item weight and courier. Both amounts are shown clearly before you confirm. No hidden charges.
What about parcel insurance?
Items valued at RM400 and above are automatically covered by parcel insurance (5% of declared value) via our courier partner EasyParcel. This covers your item for its full journey — from you to our warehouse, and from warehouse to the other party. For items between RM200–RM399, insurance is optional and can be added when proposing a swap. Items below RM200 are not eligible for insurance.
When are fees charged?
Shipping fees are deducted immediately when a swap is accepted. The 7% Platform & Inspection Fee (and insurance if applicable) is deducted on swap completion once both parties confirm receipt.
What if the item doesn't match the listing?
Raise a dispute within 72 hours of receiving your item. Our team reviews the warehouse inspection record, photos, and your claim. We resolve it fairly for both sides.
What if the other party refuses to ship?
If you've already shipped your item but the other party backs out, your shipping cost is refunded and the non-shipper is penalised. The platform protects you.
How long does a swap take?
Typically 5–10 working days: including shipping to warehouse (1–3 days), inspection (1 day), and delivery to you (1–3 days).
What is the minimum item value?
RM50. Items below this value cannot be listed. Maximum weight is 5kg per item.
Can I cancel after accepting a swap?
Before either party ships: yes, by mutual agreement. Once you've shipped your item, cancellation is no longer free. The party who hasn't shipped will be penalised to protect the one who already did their part.
What are Badge Tiers?
The more swaps you complete, the higher your badge tier. Standard (new), Trusted (10+ swaps), Elite (50+ swaps). Higher tiers signal reliability to other users and help your listings stand out.
The Credit Wallet
ReSwaps uses an in-app credit wallet (RM-based) to handle fees automatically. No manual payment mid-swap.
